Baptisms at St Paul's and St Mary's

Helping you celebrate a new life in Christ

We can help you celebrate your baptismBaptisms (sometimes called Christenings) normally take place during our services at either St Paul's or St Mary's. You can talk to one of our team about getting baptised yourself, or getting a child baptised, by calling us on 01279 434 243 or emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. We normally arrange to see you, to chat about what baptism is and what it means for you and your family. Baptism is a very special moment, and we want to make sure you're prepared for it. We might suggest that you come along to the church once or twice (if you don't normally attend) to get used to being in the building, and with the people. You can find out more about our normal services here.

It may be that, after speaking with us about baptism, you decide that it's a commitment you can't yet make. That's fine, and if you wish we can offer a special service of blessing and thanksgiving instead. This is a lovely occasion, and you are welcome to invite friends and family to attend.
