Sermon 27th August

A Sermon by Martin Harris on the theme 'Cleopas and the Stranger'. The Bible passages was Luke 24:13-35 (the story of the Road to Emmaus). Some study questions:

Why did the disciples not recognise Jesus? What made their eyes open? Why did Jesus disappear so quickly? Can you think of other encounters with strangers where hosts have ‘entertained angels unaware’.
